That girl is in there, you just have to find her...

Think about the time you were a little girl, when nobody was watching what was your deepest desires? Think for a moment. Were those desires ever muffled over the years? What did you love to do as a little girl that when you think about it now, you can't imagine finding yourself invested in. Maybe it was horseback riding, or painting. Maybe it was bird watching or skipping in your backyard like your favorite fairytale. Sometimes the pressures of the world take away from being who we were created to be. We no longer find joy in what we used to because we silence the desires of our hearts. I too had silenced the freedom of a young girl but I found this to be true: Inside of all of us there is this innate desire to be free. We want to be free to make our own choices, free to be everything we have imagined ourselves to be from the time we were little girls.

Did something ever take that away? Think back to a time where you lost that carefree part of being a young girl. Maybe it was the moment you watched something that you shouldn't have. Maybe it was a time where something happened to you that was never your fault. Or maybe it a movie or experience that took away a piece of your innocence, therefore taking away your freedom. Your freedom to love, breathe, run in full trust knowing that you too, are valued and loved. Think of the time that freedom was perhaps taken from you.

In all of us, there is a desire to be free and it is God given to us to navigate the world we live in. God designed us to show HIS image and the image of His son, Jesus. But often times we don't show it simply because we believe we aren't valuable at all. In order to capture back that freedom you need to remember where you lost it. Was it the moment you looked in the mirror and didn't like what you saw? Or maybe it was when you were told what you looked like wasn't enough, or how you sounded or acted didn't make the cut. You have to remember that the things said about you cannot define who you are. They have to be rooted out so God can tell you who you are and reinstall the childlike carefree nature we are all born to have.

What are your thoughts on this? l would love to make a video further explaining this but for now I hope these few paragraphs will do.
